First Aid Training for Occupational Health Teams
Practical Emergency Training for Workplace and Clinic Situations
Twelve members of our occupational health team attended First Aid and Anaphylaxis training on 30th March 2026. The course was delivered by RAMC Ltd and led by Steve Furnell. RAMC Ltd provides specialist medical training and resuscitation courses for organisations and clinical teams.
We value the company for its strong reputation and practical approach to training. The course matched the environments and situations our clinicians face during everyday work.
This session formed part of our ongoing training programme. We want our clinicians to stay ready, competent, and confident if an emergency occurs. While serious incidents are uncommon in occupational health, preparation remains extremely important.

The training covered the core principles of emergency first aid. Topics included assessing an unwell patient, CPR, choking, bleeding, unconscious casualties, and medical emergencies. Every section focused on realistic situations that can happen in clinics and workplaces.
Anaphylaxis Awareness and Emergency Response
A major part of the training focused on managing anaphylactic shock. Our clinicians may encounter allergic reactions during vaccinations, health assessments, and other occupational health services.
The course explained how to recognise the symptoms of an allergic reaction quickly. It also covered the correct steps to support someone experiencing anaphylaxis.
Steve Furnell delivered the training in a clear and engaging way. His use of practical examples helped make the course enjoyable and easy to follow. The hands on approach also helped reinforce important emergency procedures.
Training days like this provide real value to our occupational health team. They improve confidence, strengthen practical skills, and help clinicians deliver safe support in both clinics and workplace settings.
Many thanks go to Steve Furnell and RAMC Ltd for delivering excellent training. We also thank our occupational health team for taking part in another successful development session.
